Wow! That was an amazing movie! I never thought that I would actually end up liking the movie. I thought it would be like a Star Trek or Star Wars movie. I enjoyed every bit of it even though I have not seen the first movie; I still think the movie was great. I like the scene where they are fighting the bad guys that looked very odd. Not to be mean but they look like deform pigs. I think that was the part I like the most because it has so much action to it; it feels like I’m in the action too. The dragon like flying creature and the huge elephant was incredible. I think that has an impact to the movie because the creatures are so big and unbelievable. The setting in this movie was so dark and gloomy. It was like a deserted area with unending mountain ranges. The mood just feels so sad and depressing until the very end where they crown the king. One of the theme in this book and movie is limit of fellowship. Frodo has to carry the ring to the volcano with Sam's help. The ring also has its own limit. It symbolizes isolation because whoever carries the ring has to complete the mission and have no interference. The ring also shows visions of things that only Frodo can see and he cannot show it to others and for that Frodo is tormented. The movie felt like it had two parts to it because it shows Frodo and Sam in another scene and the others fighting in another scene. They do not come together until the end of the movie because they have their own mission to complete.

ReplyDeleteI hated this movie, its so confusing, I would of preferred reading and seeing another movie from this time era instead. It was very confusing to me and yet after reading and watching the movie I am still confused, very much.
Lorena how could you say such a thing?? lol i love the series and this movie has got to be my favorite because like you stated in your blog it has so much action, that and being the medieval warfare loving person that i am it never gets old to see orcs and humans bludgeoned over the castle walls or blown away by a stray catapult rock.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tony!! But it really depends on what kind of movies you like, like action, commedy, family, romantic etc...but me I don't really care as long as the movie is good and sounds interesting then I'm good. :)
